Teen Leadership Camp

Our Teen Leadership Program gives teens life-changing opportunities to take on meaningful outdoor leadership roles within all areas of their life. They will push their limits on a nine-day expedition in the wilderness and grow their outdoor skills, building lasting knowledge and experience they can use throughout their lives. This program is ideal for youth who are going into education or plan to work with youth in any capacity.

This extended expedition gives teens the opportunity to deepen their skills in their favorite adventure sports and all of the other big and little moments—playing games, sharing stories, hanging out with new friends—that make overnight camping so unforgettable.

In addition to the abundance of learning from our staff throughout their nine day session, our teen leaders leave camp with some very a ton of great experience and a strong foundation for future work with kids.

Adventure Day Camp II

Adventure Day Camp at Nippersink Lodge!!

Our Adventure Day Camp explores local settings for authentic outdoor experiences with kids ages 7-13. Whether they’re returning or first-time campers, every day is a different adventure—mastering a climbing challenge, hiking a trail, paddling a canoe or kayak—and every activity is leveled to their age and ability.

Grouped by age, campers build confidence and skills when they return to our program week after week and year after year. Ages 7-10 concentrate on getting comfortable with new activities, with plenty of support from our staff and returning campers. Once they reach age 11, campers shift their focus to teamwork, mentorship and broadening their technical skill level.

Led by our highly credentialed outdoor instructors, campers develop the confidence to launch them into a lifetime of exciting outdoor adventure.

Grassroots Get Down! Farm to Table Dinner

To kick off the summer season, the Little River Waterkeeper presents the 1st annual Grassroots Get Down! Farm to Table Dinner Fundraiser on the bank of Little River at Historic Nippersink Lodge on Saturday, June 3, at 5 pm.

Join us in celebrating our local farmers, local food, and local community! This fundraising event will showcase the incredibly talented farmers and food producers at The Farm at Windy Hill and Harvest Roots Ferments.

Tickets are priced at $50 each and will be limited to 30. We will be serving a menu that will showcase the best of the local foods in season that Lookout Mountain has to offer.

To top it off, we will have fun music & entertainment by Matty Croxton!

All proceeds will go to weekly water quality monitoring and supplies. The LRWK monitors the health of 4 popular swimming holes throughout the summer. We post weekly results online so water users, get the skinny before they dip".

We are also offering several sponsorship opportunities for this fundraising event and will have details available very soon. If you are interested in being a sponsor, please contact Angie Shugart at angie@oneworldadventureco.org

If you would like to get involved, we are looking for volunteers and need servers, dishwashers, set up and clean up crews. We will hold a planning meeting for all volunteers closer to the event and each volunteer will receive a specially designed T-shirt as a thank you. Call us to sign up! 256-634-8370

Come out for a fun event and learn more about our efforts to keep Little River clean and safe for swimming and recreation.
