DeSoto State Park Backpacking Trip

Join One World Adventure, Seven Pines Survival, & DeSoto State Park for an exciting weekend of backpacking and camping at DeSoto State Park! The weekend will consist of learning the backpacking and camping basics and will be taught by our very own Naturalist/Survivalist, Robert Wilson.

There will be two options for this trip: 1. Guided or 2. Unguided.

Guided trips will be lead by Robert Wilson. He will teach you how to do all things camping! Everything from how to pack your bag properly, how to prepare the campsite, how to locate a clean water supply, how to make a sustainable fire for warmth and food preparation, and teach you all about LNT (Leave No Trace). You'll be in GREAT hands with him along for the trip.

Unguided trips will consist of a morning meet-up at the DeSoto State Park's Nature Center. Robert Wilson will meet you here and go over general camping etiquette and procedures along with passing out gear, maps, and answering any questions you may have before leaving for your backpacking trip.

The rental fee includes everything but your clothes, personal items, & food. Backpack will be provided to you.

There is a LIMIT of 6 people for this trip so don't wait to reserve your spot! This is a family friendly event and WONDERFUL for BEGINNERS.

Please contact Angie Shugart @ angie@oneworldadventureco.org for more information or to reserve your spot.
